Billy Golden (b. Williams Shires, 1858-1926) was performing “Rabbit Hash” on stage as early as 1883 with a partner named Billy Drayton, and it was part of his recorded repertoire from the beginning of his time before the horn in the early 1890s. This recording is from 1908, meaning he had had 25 years to perfect the act.
