On a Blue Amberol cylinder from 1913, here’s Toots Paka’s Hawaiians performing “Aloha ’Oe (Farewell to Thee),” composed by H. M. Queen Liliuokalani. The troupe toured vaudeville around the time of the recording, with Toots Paka doing the Hula dance and Joseph Kekuku and John K. Paaluhi playing guitars.
