John Baltzell (1860-1940) won the Ohio Fiddle Championship in 1922, and this brought him to the attention of Thomas Edison, who released some 26 sides by Baltzell between 1923 and 1928. “Durang Hornpipe Medley” features John F. Burckhardt on piano.
